Studio Kindermusik Policies

Payment

Beyond Arts & Music (BAM) collects an annual $30 enrollment fee for school year classes, and a $25 enrollment fee for summer classes for families not currently enrolled in school year classes. All registration fees hold your spot in class and are non-refundable.

Credit cards are charged a monthly tuition of $89 on the 1st day of each month during the school year session. Monthly tuition is not tied to the number of classes in any given month. All payments are 1/10th of the total tuition for the school year, providing a predictable, budget-friendly amount for families.

Due to operational costs, NO REFUNDS, CREDITS OR TRANSFERS WILL BE ISSUED. A $10 fee will be incurred for late payments beyond the 8th of the month. These include but are not limited to declined cards and returned checks.

Makeup Classes

Included in your registration are unlimited makeup classes during the time of your enrollment. To qualify for a makeup class you must email or call before class time to let us know you will be missing class. To book a makeup class, send us an email to indicate which class you would like to attend and we will let you know if there is availability in that class.

Makeup classes may not be used to extend your enrollment. Once you have canceled your enrollment you forfeit any unused makeup classes. Specific teachers cannot be guaranteed for makeup classes. Make up classes are based on availability and are not guaranteed.

Change in Enrollment

We are always sad to see a studio family go. In order to change your enrollment for any reason, please fill out our change in enrollment form here. Change in enrollment requests must be made using the online form prior to the 25th of the month. Monthly tuition payments are made on the 1st of the month. Once payment runs, there will be no refunds given. We will send a confirmation email once we receive your change in enrollment form.

Inclement Weather & Breaks

Beyond Arts & Music will make independent decisions related to weather cancellations and schedule breaks. We do not follow the school year calendar of any particular district as well as any cancellations they may have for weather.

Families will be notified via email of any cancellations. We will also post on our Facebook and Instagram pages (be sure to follow along) of any cancellations.

Classes will not be rescheduled due to cancellations. If your class is canceled, please log in to your parent portal to schedule a make up class.

Referral Program

You are our best resource for sharing our classes and growing our studio. We are so grateful for any referrals you make, and as a thank you, we offer $10 off a month of classes for EVERY referral you make (unlimited!). Please make sure your friends indicate on their registration form that you sent them our way and we will gladly share the love!

Class Minimums & Teacher Requests

Beyond Arts & Music reserves the right to change or cancel any class that does not meet the minimum requirement for enrollment numbers. If a class has fewer than 3 enrolled students, we may ask families to switch classes or cancel the class altogether. In these cases, refunds will be given for any changes we make that affect payment.

BAM does not guarantee specific teachers for a particular class. Teachers’ schedules are subject to change at any time as well as substitute teachers may be needed on occasion.

Illness

If you or your child are ill, and/or have had a fever within the past 48 hours, please opt to stay home and recover. We appreciate your care in not spreading germs to other students and our teachers.

We will be following all CDC guidelines concerning COVID-19.

In the case of any illness and class absence, please schedule a make-up class at your earliest convenience.

Acclimation to Class

Please allow proper time (we recommend at least 4-6 weeks of consistent classes) for your child to acclimate to the routines and procedures of each class. Some children take more time than others to feel comfortable in new settings such as a music class with their peers. Also, please keep in mind that while your child may be new in a class, others may not, and therefore may be more comfortable with our routines. Your child may just need some time to get there. Give them a chance (read: don’t cancel after the first class) to show you their progress. You may just be pleasantly surprised by their growth!

Class Visitors

We love having visitors in class and highly encourage you to share your love of our classes with friends and family. Grown-up visitors are welcome to come and participate in class as long as we have space available. Please reach out to us before bringing anyone to class so we can make sure there is space.

If you would like to bring a friend with a child in age range to class we highly encourage you to bring them to a play date class. We will occasionally have “bring a friend” day in class, so be on the lookout for those days to share our classes with your friends.

We love having older siblings join in the fun when they are on break from school or otherwise available during class time. We just ask again that you reach out in order to make sure we have space in class.

  • +Each class option on our schedule lists a monthly tuition that will be charged automatically using a credit card on file. Class tuition is $76 per month. There is an annual $30 enrollment fee for all students enrolled at Beyond Arts & Music. Families continuing from semester to semester receive discounted registration fees.

    +Summer class tuition is different than the school year and is based on term sessions. Please refer to individual class descriptions for pricing.

    +From September through May we run a school year program. The monthly tuition is 1/9th of the total for the school year providing a consistent, budget-friendly amount. It is not tied to the number of classes or lessons offered in a given month.

  • +For outdoor classes, please bring a blanket for you and your child to sit on during class. We recommend bringing a waterproof blanket for dewey mornings.

    +For indoor classes you do not need to bring anything.

    +All other materials are provided by Murphy Music Makers. Kindermusik online materials will be distributed virtually.

  • +Beyond Arts & Music will do its best to provide makeup class options that fit your schedule. If you are unable to attend one of your classes due to illness or otherwise, please reach out to let us know.

    *We will provide makeup class options if you miss due to an illness or otherwise. We understand that schedules change, illnesses occur, and life happens. That is why we offer unlimited make-up classes.

    *We do not provide refunds for any missed class, but you can login to the parent portal to sign up for a make-up class time. Please let us know that you will be missing class so we can open that spot up for another family.

  • +When you sign up for our ongoing classes during the school year after the start of any month, your first month will be prorated according to when you sign up.

    +If you would like to register for a term class after the start date, please reach out to us and we will get you set up. These classes will be prorated.

  • +Yes! The first child is $89/month and any siblings enrolled in the same class are $79/month.

    +The discount will be applied after registration and before your credit card is charged for the month. A $30 per child enrollment fee will be taken at the time of registration.

  • +We understand that circumstances change. Please complete this form to change your enrollment.

    +Changes must be made by the 25th of the month in order to avoid a charges for the next month.

    +Use the change in enrollment form to make any changes to your class enrollment. Please do not send an email or other communication to make a change in your enrollment. You will receive an email confirmation when your request has been processed.

    +We do not offer any refunds, credits, or transfers once payment is run on the first of the month.

  • Login into your account on the Kindermusik Parent Portal using your email address provided at registration. Select billing information and adjust accordingly.

  • +This is an important question and one we want to be able to answer with your specific family in mind. It is best to reach out to us with specific information related to your child and your family so we can find the best fit.

  • +We love when our Beyond Arts & Music families want to share their classes with friends and family!

    +If you would like to bring a friend and their child to one of our classes, please have them sign up for a drop-in class (play date) so they can see what it’s all about!

    +We also understand that there may sometimes be a need to bring a sibling who is not enrolled during one of your classes due to a school cancellation, etc. Most of the time it is fine, we just ask that you reach out to us before so we can make sure there is enough room in the class. If your extra sibling will be attending all classes in a session, please sign them up, even if they are not in the age group!

    +Bringing a grandparent/other adult family member: We love when we can have special guests in our classes! Again, please just let us know that you plan to bring someone else so we can make sure there is enough room for them.

  • +Each class has a maximum of 12 enrolled families. This may not include families who are attending as drop-ins.

    *Please note: a minimum number of enrolled families must be met in order to hold the classes. This minimum must be met within 24 hours of the class/event. Due to rental fees, class preparation, and quality assurance, we reserve the right to cancel any class that does not meet this minimum. Please be sure to enroll as early as possible so that we can do our best to provide our classes.

  • +You can pause your enrollment at any point during the school year using the change in enrollment form. This form must be received by the 25th of the month in order to process it and avoid payment on the first of the month.

    +While we understand schedules change and life happens, we recommend giving your child at least 4-6 weeks in classes in order to adapt to the rituals and routines of classes.
