Position: Daycare/Preschool Music Instructor
Location: Various school locations around Columbus
Type: Part-Time (Daytime Availability Required)

Job Summary: We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Music Instructors to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music and children, along with the ability to create a fun and engaging learning environment. This position requires daytime availability and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging music lessons tailored to young children in daycare and preschool settings. We provide curriculum, however you are welcome to add your own ideas and personality to lessons.

• Foster a joyful and inclusive classroom atmosphere where children feel safe and excited to learn

• Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and developmental stages.

• Encourage and support children’s musical growth, creativity, and self-expression.

• Maintain integrity and honesty in all interactions with children, parents, and staff.

• Ensure timeliness and consistency in lesson delivery and attendance.

• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about their child’s progress and any upcoming music events or performances.

• Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.

Qualifications:

• A background in music, early childhood education, or a related field is preferred.

• Previous experience teaching music to young children is highly desirable.

• Strong musical skills, including proficiency in one or more instruments preferred.

• A joyful demeanor and a passion for working with young children necessary.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive team environment.

• Reliable transportation to travel between different daycare/preschool locations.

• Commitment to the values of integrity, honesty, and timeliness.
